The annual social gathering known as prom, for high school students all over the country come with some problems. Where is pre-prom? Where is after-prom? Who's buying the beer? Who's sitting at my table (etc). These problems and more have come to be known as 'promlems', because they are problems concerning prom.

i can only have 20 people at after-prom. what a PROMLEM!

promraderie

The instinct of women to instantly drop whatever good time they may be having if one of their girlfriends is upset. Doesn't necessarily need to be at a prom, but good luck having a prom with out it, as they are training grounds for acts of promraderie in later life such as at weddings and any night at a bar involving 4 or more women.

Guy 1: Dude where'd your date go?
Guy 2: Her and 12 of her friends took off to the bathroom after one of them got a drink spilled on her.
Guy 1: That's some serious promraderie.

Promotion to middle management through sleight, deception, pandering to skip level interests, and generally kissing ass. All at the expense of the company, coworkers, and especially on the backs of direct reports.

Most frequently associated with self serving, short sighted, fresh off the boat H1B visas from India with names like Promod, Pramod, Rashid, Hirushuhindubob, etc.

Ramesh just got PROMODED to senior manager; the asshole took credit for all of Ryan's work, then had the gall to give him a bad review!
