American Wild West slang for having sex with a girl. Literally to poke her in the vagina with your penis.

Other forms- To have a poke, having a poke, poke her good, give her a poke, give her a real good poke, giving her a poke

For example, from the 2011 Kiwi Western Black Comedy "Good For Nothing", a cowboy kidnaps a girl.

Girl- "And just what do you intend to do with me?!"
Guy- "Give you a poke!"

A truly original sin... this quote is taken from an Eddie Izzard stand-up routine which talks about the Catholic idea of Original Sin. He talks about a guy going into confession and saying "Forgive me Father, for I have sinned... I poked a badger with a spoon." In response the priest says that's a truly original sin.

Poke-in-the-eye

A breakfast treat!

Take a slice of white bread, fold in half. Take a bite out of the middle. Unfold. You should be left with a square of bread, but with a round hole in the centre. (If not, see a dentist, or the bedside glass where you put your false teeth...).
Fry in the fat left by the sausages and bacon, whilst carefully breaking an egg in the 'poke'. Fry gently, then turn it.

Great with good quality sausages, bacon and grilled Portobello mushrooms. (Plus Heinz beans, fried tomatoes, grilled onion halves, partner, anything else that springs to mind)
