When someone says something so absurd that everyone has to pause for a moment and look in disgust, usually associated with the record scratch sound effect.

To call someone (or something) "scratch" means that they are/it is kinda crazy. Not in a bad way, but in an affectionate way. Like "He's so scratch!" meaning that he comes up with crazy ideas, some of them are so sick.

Josh had the craziest time on his trip; no too surprising as he is so scratch.
