Kansas City

There are two Kansas cities. Kansas City on the missouri side, and KC in the Kansas side. Abbreviated as kck and KCMO. 3/4ths of the city is in KCMO, and very little of it on the ks side. Most of the kck side is industrial districts, and old low income Hispanic neighborhoods. Kansas City is known for barbecue and serve some of the best in the country. The city USED to be known for jazz, but outside of the historic jazz district, (which is shady at night) the city doesn't keep up with the Jazz roots. Kansas City has a growing alternative music scene and is becoming a springboard for many upcoming artists in the genre. Consequently, kc also has a large hipster population, mainly centered in midtown, westport, and west 39th st. Kc is large enough to feel like a big city to suburb folks, but small enough to have a small town feel to people from places like LA NY or chicago. Kansas City has more fountains than any city in the world except for Rome Italy and is known as the city of fountains. KC is also notorious for having winding boulevards all over the urban area which get tourist travelers lost everyday. Weather is completely unpredictable in kc, one day there will be snow on the ground, and the next it will be 72 and sunny. KC has a rep of being a cow town, however the city has a very urban vibe. The country club plaza, known as the plaza, is widely known, but is merely a very beautiful shopping resteraunt district. Overall Kansas city is an average place to live.
Kansas City? Which one?

KC is a chill place man.

univer-city transplant

Migrating mainly from large, rural-based, state colleges: a univer-city transplant is a suburban-raised college grad who moves to the city which (they claim to originate from) shorty after school, in what they believe is a major step toward adulthood and individuality; but in reality is a parental-funded extension of the Greek-run college town bubble they so desperately miss.
UCT’s will commonly form small packs and take up residence in the city's trendiest and most expensive neighborhoods. The reasoning behind which is the aforementioned mom & dad financial support system and an irrational fear of not living "where the action is." It is a HUGE plus if any of these neighborhoods happen to back up against the campus of a city university as the local establishments will likely cater to the college-esque activities (bar crawls, tailgating, etc.) that they hold so dear.
Besides what is located within the boundaries of the neighborhoods they live in, univer-city transplants have a little more than a tourist’s knowledge of what a city may have to offer. However, they frequently try to affirm their self-proclaimed city-dweller status by dropping names of places that they consider to be hidden gems. In most cases these are well known institutions that even someone from out-of-state could point out. The use of Facebook to boisterously announce their newest “discovery” or “favorite spot” is also an annoyingly common trait amongst UCT’s.
"Gotta dig fall in Chicago! Love this city this time of year ;)"
-actual Facebook status from a UCT who has never experienced fall or any other seasons within the Chicago city limits.

Univer-city transplant: Hey man, my frat buds are having a birthday party @ Duffy's by my apartment, you should come!

City Resident: I don't think my wallet can handle Lincoln Park bars tonight. I'm going out in Uptown.

UCT: You don't have to make up neighborhoods just cause you don't wanna hang out, man.

River City Ransom

*Released in 1989 for the 8-bit NES, by the company Technos (who in part released Double Dragon). River City Ransom was an underrated side-scrolling beat'em-up game where you could play as one or two players, and in essence, go around beating thugs up and taking their money! You can then use their money for RPG-related elements, such as going to stores and restaurants to power up your character's stats, and even learn new techniques.
River City Ransom has been recently re-released for the Gameboy Advance (by Atlus). It is now called River City Ransom EX (EX means 'extra' I think), and is basically River City Ransom with improved features, and tons of customization capability. RCR EX is very deep and I highly recommend it.......but good luck finding a copy; they sell like hotcakes!! I would know; the new copy I bought was the last friggin' one they had!! o_o I'm so lucky. ^-^

*To go around beating people up and taking their money.
"They seriously should consider making a sequel to River City Ransom; the game just fucking rules."

Citrix

Better known as "Shitrix", this thin client system lags like you wouldn't believe, and loses your data and locks your session if your program crashes. Which it does. Frequently. Can't even run the same program twice.

You often have to wait up to 10 seconds for keypresses to register when connected to the servers.
"I've got a crashed session on Citrix. Need admin to close it for me."

"'Shitrix' is lame, I want a proper system."
