twitterpaign

A campaign nearly completely conceived of, and orchestrated on, twitter. A twitterpaign will contain a hash-tag (#) next to key words to influence twitter trends. Twitterpaigns ask followers to do something: retweet, blog, email, online petition or voting.

Currently, a number of celebrities are asking followers to vote for them for the People's Choice Awards. Example tweet: "Did everyone vote today for @NathanFillion (moi) #peopleschoice"

Twitterpaigns can be retaliatory. Comments made by a Marie Claire blogger about the "fatties" on the CBS show "Mike & Molly" provoked a twitterpaign. The blogger's twitter page was "blasted", tweets called for blogger's firing & requested followers retweet.

Twitter Hubris

1. The act of over-tweeting pointless details of one's own personal life and/or opinions. You can often recognize a person with Twitter Hubris as you scroll through your timeline and realize that every other tweet is from that same person. Twitter Hubris can sometimes lead to one's own downfall.

2. Tweeting with delusions of grandeur, arrogance, and/or pride.

1. @Ochocinco's Twitter Hubris has been quieted by his poor performance season with the Patriots.

2. Inebriation, rude people and/or bad customer service are common triggers for @Chrissyteigen's Twitter Hubris

Twitterrhea

When you tweet in obsessively manner about everything and everyone in sight because you are bored out of your mind, or chose to do things other than being productive.

I was so bored at work that I logged on to my twitter account and had an hour or two of twitterrhea.

Twitter-camping

(v) The act of regularly sending tweets (via Twitter) while following a major broadcasted event with the intent of drumming up viral attention from other Twitter users following the same major event.

@twitteruser gained over 300 new followers from Twitter-camping the presidential debates. It seemed like other people were making the same comments/jokes, but he was just posting them first, so everyone was retweeting him.
