Hand-Talking

While talking, moving (or flailing) your hands around as they either help you to talk, or help make a point.
Sometimes a person will not be able to talk unless they are using their hands. To prove this, while they're are talking- hold their hands down. They will shut up if they are inclined to 'hand talk'.

(Seems to be originated mainly from Italians, though not limited to them.)
Person 1: (dodges from being slapped) "Hey! Watch where you're throwing your hands! You nearly hit me!"
Person 2: "Sorry, I can't help it.. I was hand-talking"

Person A: "Why must you talk with your hands? You know they can't see you thru the phone, right?
Person B: "I know, I just can't help but hand-talk."

Shut up and keep talking

An expression that's used when you want information from someone, but that someone keeps telling boring details you don't need to know.

Can be emphasised by using 'Shut the fuck up and keep talking'.
Guy 1: So we went to her bedroom, and there were a lot of dolls there. She also had a poster of-
Guy 2: Dude, shut up and keep talking. Did anything happen?

Up-talking

When one, particularly a younger person, ends every phrase and sentence as if it were a question. This practice could be derived from the "valley girl" excuse for talking during the nineties, but many people still do it today out of uncontrollable habit.
Teacher: Okay Tommy, it's your turn to present.

Tommy: oKAY(?) I was at the STORE(?) And there was the GUY(?) and like...

Teacher: okay. NEXT.

the streets are talking

Discussing some gossip/rumours (can be positive or negative), similar to word on the street is...
The streets are talking and they saying you and Lashonda are kitty clicking!
The streets are talking about the raid on that weed house down 8th avenue!

Modern Talking

A Deutsch pop duo formed in 1983 that in 1985 gained success with hits such as "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "Cheri Cheri Lady" and "Brother Louie". In 1998 after breaking up for 11 years they got back together and hired a black guy to rap for them and created updated versions of their old hits, later on creating new songs. They broke up for the last time in 2003. They are probably the most successful recording artist to never chart in America. Despite this, they are one of the most popular 80s artists on YouTube.
I can't believe this band called Modern Talking sold 120 million records without charting in America.
