Parlay

To hang around, chill, spend/pass time, or just be outside with no particular purpose. Often used when someone is casually kicking it with friends, loitering, or just vibing in a spot for an extended period.

Examples:
• “All y’all do is parlay.”
• “Y’all parlaying? Let’s go!”
• “We ‘bout to go and just parlay for a bit.”

Pallyweid

Pallyweid (a portmanteau of "Palestine", Hollywood and loaded words "apartheid/genocide") is a term describing the hyperbolic campaign, first by Hitler's helper during WW2 Ahmad Shukeiry in Oct 1961 smearing Israel, taking advantage while there was condemnation of South Africa, he attempted to make comparisons and Shukairy threatened genocide ahead of Six-Day war: "none of them will survive," and wrote in 1969 that the Palestinian Arabs cheered and prayed for Hitler. After his default laying foundation, it has been used by anti Israel forces, often adjusting the apartheid definition, while overlooking the obvious racist terror which Israel faces; then the "genocide" began popping up, mainly since 2014 by Francesca Albanese - accused of antisemitic outbursts and completely ignoring Arab Palestinian regimes using its civilians to maximize deaths in the long practiced 'dead baby strategy' - at least since 1982 under Arafat. Emotions are used to advance the use of the word. Politicians are pushed, to just use it. ADL published on March 18, 2025 paraphrasing: how an organized anti-Israel Wikipedia editors cabal collided in many edits, for years.

phone paralysis

The complete inability to think or speak that some people get when their phone call is answered by someone other than the person they tried to ring.

They seem so stunned by the fact that someone they called might momentarily be away from their desk, that they had never thought of a way to deal with such an eventuality.

John's colleague: "Hello, John Smith's phone.................Hello?

Caller: "......er, hi.......er........is John not there?...."

John's colleague: "No, he's not about right now, can I take a message or something?"

Caller: "Er....er....yeah, can you ask him to call James at Acme? He's got my number"

John's colleague: "Will do, thanks.........(hangs up).....Jeez that dude had real phone paralysis!
