Orch dork

A person who is good at and loves playing an instrument in an orchestra (usually a school or youth orchestra). Usually these people are friends with other musically inclined people (band geeks, choir queers). Orch dorks are also usually very passionate about and familiar with various pieces of classical music. They are always talking about orchestra, bringing up jokes and situations from orchestra, and looking forward to orchestra. They often have a very strong opinion about their conductor. They're capable of being sophisticated people, but they choose not to be.

We're such orch dorks. We made up an interpretive dance to the piece we're playing.

orch dork

The coolest kids in the music hallway. They know how to have fun and be crazy but are always overlooked by everyone else and pretty much unknown. They hate being called a band geek because they are NOT A PART OF BAND. The sexiest, coolest, dopiest kids on the block. Love them because they will rule you.

orky dork

1. a person that plays a stringed instrument usually violin, viola, cello, or bass in an orchestra
2. is friends with many other musically inclined people {i.e band geeks or choir queers}
3. almost exclusively dates people mentioned above
4. has a 99% chance of being asian
5. is emotionally attached to their instrument
6. enjoys playing music to an inhuman extent
7. can pick out their instruments part in about any song
8. constantly makes jokes about band and chorus
9. takes pride in being a member of the orchestra (those who take their pride to the extreme call it dorkestra )
10. their talent is almost always underestimated, they are often neglected because of this
11. is considered a pervert when talking about almost any aspect of their instrument
12. is infinately awesome. period.

Bill: that orky dork treats her bass better than her boyfriend!

Friends: you're such an orky dork, laura.

Bob: what are you doing?
Me: fingering a minor.
Bob: what?!
Me: damn! i broke my G string.

Orch Dork

People that play violin, viola, cello, and/or bass in the orchestra or youth symphony. The awesomest people you'll ever meet. We totally beat the band geeks and the choir queers and don't let anyone tell you differently. We're a lot more mature and we don't feel the need to be the center of attention. Orch dorks also have a lot more fun in their own strange and perplexing way which you would only understand if you were an orch dork yourself.

Bob: Let's go hang out with the orch dorks! They always have such a fun time.

Fred: Yeah! Love those guys!
