The Town

Ben Affleck's most convincing and authentic looking and sounding performance to date.

Somebody must've helped Ben Affleck make himself look more authentic and sincere in The Town, because usually the guy is amongst the worst actors of his generation (though his speech delivery has always been excellent). The guy went from bad actor to real hoodlum from Boston in that movie, if only for a split second (though he's not even from the East Coast). He made his previous acting in Good Will Hunting look silly in The Town, though watching enough of his films makes somebody realize it isn't too hard for Ben Affleck to make one of his performances look silly.
