Memory issues such as brain fog and short term memory loss as a symptom directly related to the physiological changes a (middle aged) woman goes through at a time called menopause (cessation of menses).
Middle aged woman: "Since I've been peri-menopausal I've noticed I'm often forgetting basic things like where I left my glasses or where my car is in the shopping centre carpark".
Older middle aged woman: "aah, you're talking about (the) memopause, generally it subsides after menopause".
