A person who is well known by many people, and pretty popular. They might have a few friends, but they don’t have any close friends, best friends, or friend group. All their ‘friends’ have their own best friends and friend groups, so the popular loner is usually alone. They usually don’t have anyone to talk to, but sometimes they do. People always assume they have best friends and are in a friend group though, so they want to keep that reputation

Gore-loser

noun. Variant of "sore loser". 1) A contestant, particularly in the political arena, who refuses to accept defeat even after all reasonable areas of contention have been put to rest, and invariably blames everyone from his predecessor to his opponent to the contest judges (voters).
2) Anyone who whines incessantly over a lost contest
