An Oxymoron. Straight-edge and Hardcore, but if someones straight-edge then how can they be hardcore?

Hardcore as in a hardcore punk or someone whose hardcore
but
straight edge as in doesnt drink or smoke etc.

I'm really sick of all these freecredit-core Starbuck's jingles. Shit that sounds like college radio doesn't make me wanna buy overpriced coffee.
