Loona (stylized in all caps or as LOOΠΔ; Korean: 이달의 소녀; RR: Idarui Sonyeo; Japanese: 今月の少女, romanized: Kongetsu no Shōjo, lit. 'Girl of the Month') is a South Korean girl group formerly under Blockberry Creative. The group is composed of eleven members: Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Vivi, Yeojin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Yves, Go Won, and HyeJu (formerly Olivia Hye). Originally a twelve-member group, Chuu was removed from the line-up on November 25, 2022, due to a contract dispute.23 Starting in October 2016, as part of a pre-debut project, each member was introduced to the public through a solo promotional single over the following 18 months in a periodic fashion.4 The group debuted as a full ensemble on August 19, 2018, with the extended play (EP) + +, supported by the lead single "Favorite" and the title track "Hi High".

loona yyxy

yyxy is composed of four girls held in a separate dimension called Eden. In “love4eva”, it’s revealed that if they eat their individual Forbidden Fruit, they are expelled from Eden. They soon feel trapped and adventurous, so Yves convinces Chuu and Go Won to eat their forbidden fruit and escape with her. Olivia Hye also wants to go but is not brave enough to eat her fruit. They leave without her.

Olivia Hye eventually eats her fruit and tries to follow them, but becomes lost and angry. She knows that Yves plans to create a new dimension, and decides to destroy it out of anger at being abandoned by her friends.

This journey is about the ego of the youth. Being in love, hurt, broken, but still stepping forward, the girls capture moments of youth to complete an ego. They express that ego is falling in love with themselves, and that they must first love themselves before loving others. They declare neanthropic chromosome yyxy, different to xx or xy chromosomes.
