A handshake used by Marine Corps soldiers. First invented by Gunnery Sergeant Beatrice Middleton in 1945. Done this way: first, slapping a high five; sliding the hand lower and giving a slightly lower five; closing of fist and tucking the thumb in; then bumping them while saying "Eagle, globe, and anchor"; then as the hand is pulled and shaken and "Away we go!" is said. Also, when the fives are given, "Up high" and "down low" are said as well.
Amos: Hey Sarge, there's a party down in the defac.
Orville: (confused, not knowing what Amos is saying) This crazy thing. What's this hand thing they're doing? Are they trying to show off?
Beatrice: No, it's the Gunny Five. I invented this. Let me show you how.
(Beatrice gives the Gunny Five to Amos. Amos passes the Gunny Five to Orville)
Beatrice: You do it that way, it's easy!
Martha: These men are going crazy. What's with all these fives? I want to learn how.
Beatrice: (demonstrating to Martha) Up high, down low, eagle, globe, and anchor, and away we go!
Martha: (yelling) That's funky. I'm going to have to teach all the soldiers that.
(Orville and Amos wink at each other then look at Martha and give the Gunny Five to Martha)

When a fellow employee, teammate, friend or family member provides you with the honour of a high-five, without you having any clue why. Although it can be highly perplexing it is almost always satisfying.
Kirstie just walked into the office hand in the air providing all off her fellow workers with a why-five. They all shared her enthusiasm even though they had no idea why.

A 13 year old boy who is mentally 58 and just wants to save his family from an incurable apocalypse. Five is someone who loves to make sarcastic jokes and knows how to take one. He might seem like a little kid but he can actually kill you and get away with it. A Five just needs to be appreciated more by his family for going through 45 years of hell alone. If you ever come across a Five, just thank him for doing so much.
Person 1: Hey, whose that little kid sitting alone by himself?
Person 2: Oh that's not a little kid, that's Five Hargreeves, he's probably planning your death now that you called him that

The same as a high five, just horizontal and instead of slapping each others hands one person holds their hand horizontally and the other hits it.
