Tight But Not Too Tight

When you're tight with your buds...but just not too tight. Another way of saying "no homo". Used to signify a bud to bud connection without any silly goose nonsense.

Me: *talks to bud*
Silly Goose: "Awwwwwwww, you guys are so cute together!"
Bud: *looks for nearest trash can 🤮*
Bud: "We're just buds okay."
Me: "Yeah we're tight but not too tight. Tight like a thicc man's jeans."
Bud: "That's right, tell 'em G!"
Silly Goose: "You guuuyyyyysssss 😂😂."

weird (but in a good way)

It means that your acceptable weird. Some people are weird, but it's like dorky weird. People who are weird in a good way are not dorky but they have their own style, they're not scared to be themselves, and they stand out as different in a good way. Overall it's a compliment for the most part.

A chant made by the HIV+ characters during "Life Support" in the Musical Rent. This cry means to live each day as if it were your last. Most of the characters that come across this song do not have much time to live, so the only thing they can do is (not jump over the moon you rentheads) live each day one at a time, and never look back. Used in "Life Support", "Another Day", misc. exerpts in the musical, and "Finale B".

A phrase people can add before saying something nitpicky, like correcting you on some inconsequential fact.

Often secretly means, "I love to be that guy", since the kind of people who say it get a little thrill from correcting others and being pedantic.

Fiery but mostly peaceful

During the start of the Portland BLM riots in 2019 burning and looting run rampant. Biased news media CNN reported, quote “Fiery but mostly peaceful protests” despite the fact in the live report there was a burning in the background.

This quote now used in scenarios when pointing out hypocritical facts when the subject seems to be oblivious to.

The committee conducted a fiery but mostly peaceful conversation, surly they were considering the pleas of us the working class.
