When one gets accustomed to a time consuming activity (e.g. going to the gym, learning a language, ect.) a then quits. That person is then shitting time, because they now have so much time, which was previously unavailable to them.

He recently stopped boxing so now hes shitting time.

A colloquialism for toilet paper used almost exclusively by men of the blue collar persuasion. The word enjoyed widespread use in Southeastern Ontario during the latter half of the 20th century, before being systematically suppressed in the late 1990's and early 2000's by the emerging Politically Correct movement. It can, however, still be heard from time to time in public bathrooms around the greater Kingston Ontario area, usually uttered in a gruff tone of voice.
