Phrase often heard at the beginning of a fictitious tale typically offered as an excuse for inappropriate, unprofessional or otherwise suspect behavior.

Tonisha: "Tyrone,lemme aks you a question...how come when I called you last night at 11PM you didn't pick up yo' phone!?"

Tyrone: "Oh, last night...last night...oh, what had happened was my grandmoms had called, talkin' bout she wet her bed again and I had to drive all da way out to Jersey to wash 'da sheets."

Tonisha: "So why didn't you pick up your phone?"

Tyrone: "Why you trippin? I just told you why. Damn!"

Happy Switch

A nickname for the fire-selector switch on a fully-automatic firearm. Saying that a particular firearm has a "happy-switch" indicates that it is capable of fully-automatic fire

My new AK47 has a happy switch, so I can fire in full-auto!

Last month, I was fed up with my shitty friends, lost my favorite hat I'd had for 9 years, got 7 traffic violations, and had a dead end job, but now, I'm meeting a bunch of amazing people, got a new job that feels fulfilling, and feel like more good is coming my way--it's all happening.
