I came back from Taiwan and definitely had to get me an American Drink. Their portions are way too small over there.

Confederate is a mixed drink containing everything the south claims to be. North America's favorite alcohol, combined with a Latin cordial, and dominated by something extremely white. The actual flavor comes from something far more black then they care to admit...

Plantation Drink 

A mixed drink containing 1 part whiskey 1 part Kahlua and no cream. Unlike the Confederate Drink, this is a pure North American mixed-drink without all the aggravating white shit.

No confederate drink for me, because of my acid re-flux a plantation drink will work just fine.

a stiff drink

Typically a "stiff" drink contains less mixers than alcohol. As a result a stiff drink is generally stronger, or stronger tasting.

A Sex on the Beach cocktail for example has 1 part peach schnapps, 2 parts cranberry juice, and 2 parts orange juice to only 1 part vodka. That isn't a stiff drink, but a shot of whiskey straight would be.
