A rapper who has recently become popular for his hits Jesus Walks and Diamonds From Sierra Leonne. The former is well known for powerful images in the music video, including a klan member crafting a burning cross, as well as its deeply religious theme. The latter hit is acknowledged for its haunting music video which shows conflict diamonds and the children who toil to produce them. However, it is also recognized because, despite the powerful images in the video, the song was not originally associated with the cause and the lyrics do not correlate to the message.

A rapper who everyone thinks is the only positive rapper out there, but they are so damn oblivious, or just plain stupid, because they are plenty of underground rappers, and concious rappers, that are better than him lyrically. Sure, his production is good, but go check a video of him freestyling with Mos Def. THey are plenty of rappers better than his style. When he raps, it really hurts the ears. On one of his new songs, he clearly recites a line from 50 cent, throughout most of the song. WHy? Because he can't think of anything else. It's all production basically. Which I could understand, if you like. However, please do not say he is the best rapper out right now. THankyou.

A talented rapper with occasionally afrocentric lyrics who raps about real-life issues. Many people dislike him, but that judgement is usually based on them listening to one song. He has tons and tons of great singles out there, many of which are very original, though he does have a reputation for sampling old soul songs.
