grunge hair

Grunge hair is the hairstyle of someone who is into grunge music (such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soungarden) and is a proper grunger. Their hairstyle will be long and straggly, perhaps covering a large part of their face.

Tarquin: Wow, you're hair's so messy and cool!
Pablo: Oh, thanks mate.
Tarquin: You must be a grunger with that grunge hair.
Pablo: Yeh, I'm so into grunge. Might as well have the grunge hair too.
Tarquin: Let's go and make fun of some emos!

Grundel Hawk

The patch of hair between your balls and asshole (the grundel) and when it gets too long, it looks strikingly like a mohawk.

Tumblr Grunge

what a bunch of 13-16 year olds on tumblr define as Grunge:
-inverted crossses
-Nirvana tee shirts
-high wasted, studded, and acid washed shorts
-nebula tights
-beanies
-trashy items meant to look like they were bought at Goodwill, but actually worth $100 or more
-hair dyed light pink/blue/green/any pastel color
-public idolization of Kurt Cobain, whitlist Flo Rida autoplays on their blog
-only pictures of fashion/hipster girls

tumblr grunge is complete bullshit and should be stomped out because grunge is a GENRE OF MUSIC.

the grunberg

An uncoordinated style of walking involving a bobbling of the entire body and a greatly exaggerated step with the heel. Generally, the grunberg is a genetic condition and cannot be cured unless the person is carrying a large weight used to stabilize their body.

Progressive Grunge

A sub-genre of grunge which incorporates both the loud, dirty guitar sounds and simple riffs of the grunge movement with such progressive rock techniques as frequent time signature changes and parts of songs written in 'modes' instead of keys.

It is significantly different from the original grunge movement, in the sense that the pop hooks have been replaced with alternative-pop hooks.

Like Grunge, progressive grunge is considered an underground movement which has recently had a global rise in popularity. Particularly in The US, Australia and Europe.

Unlike Post-Grunge which was condemned by Grunge fans world-wide, progressive grunge has been welcomed whole-heartedly by the flannel wearing community.

grunge style

Grunge is epitomised in bands like Nirvana. It conveys an "I don't give a fuck" attitude. It is loosely tied in with rock and punk, but stands as it's own genre of music and style of dress. Instead of going out of their way to be the opposite of a "conformist", people with grunge style simply don't participate. They are generally the ones who play guitar, live for the music, let their hair get knotted, their clothes filthy and their attitudes nonchalant. They just don't care, they throw on whatever. Kurt did it the best.

"Sweetheart, you should really shower and put some more thought into your outfits, unless you're trying to work the whole grunge style thing"
