Dangle

Contrary to popular belief, dangling in hockey is not spectacular stickhandling or deking. A commercial by Nike Hockey doesn't change the definition. A dangle is a burst of speed by the skater to blow by the defenceman. Spinning or putting a puck between a D-man's legs is not a dangle.
"Robertson just dangled by that defender, left him in the dust, and shelfed a beauty."

"I hate it when people use the word 'dangle' as a reference to a deke."
