Someone uttering useless sayings like, "At the end of the day ..., " "In reality ... , " & "To be honest with you ..." is guilty of serving verbal carbs.

Vera

A feminine person with long flowing hair and a smile that captures the very essence of what a beautiful person she is. She is the object of many mens desires without making an attempt or being obnoxious. She has a reputation for being the good girl and she is intelligent and knows how to not get played. People are often shocked with how strong a person she can be and her independence.

Stephen: Whoa look at her!

Jake: Who, Vera? Yeah, she's stunning!

Stephen: I reckon I can get her number

Jake: I don't think so mate, word is that she's not as easy as you think. Plus she's the sort of girl you marry, not play.

Stephen: Yeah, your right, Vera's special

Verbal Fire Hydrant

A person who's going on and on about a subject they're interested in, not letting others get a word in edgewise. By spewing a constant stream of information, they become the human equivalent of an open fire hydrant.

Jeez, Jon, you haven't stopped talking about 3D printing all night; you're being a real verbal fire hydrant!

A form of abuse in which the abuser verbally criticizes, degrades, or harasses the victim. This can come in a range of forms, from subtle criticisms to blatant insults, and is most often in a hostile manner.

Jenna is a victim of verbal abuse: her stepmom would criticize her fashion choices frequently, just out of spite.
