Thumblast

Origin - Social Media jargon in association to private messaging apps, primarily, including but not limited to, Facebook.

1.) Verb - An easter egg planted in messenger by the app developer, whereby, the 'accidental' press of the "thumb's up" (👍) icon on the keyboard submits a ridiculously huge "thumb's up", also known as being thumbusted within the message thread as an embarrassing notification alert that one party of the relative conversation is:

a.) Currently cyber stalking the other party by checking the last time they were online

b.) Currently retracing the history of conversation with anxiety wondering why it is taking the other party so long to respond

c.) Currently actively engaged in behaviors such as the dot watch of the other party, thereby hinting at the perfect opportunity for dot-taunting.

ex. "It has been two hours since he responded, so I got worried. I check that his status was 'active 7 minutes ago'. I got even more anxious, so I was pressing on my lasy messages to check if they had been seen. That's when it happened. I accidentally hit the (👍) as I was scrolling, and Messenger totally just put me on thumblast!"
