The verb form of recluse. the act of shying away from society or person. the process of leaving all one knows behind to be alone.

I tried to catch the cat but it recluded me (past tense)

Person 1: Whats going on next door?
Person 2: That guy is recluding...

RECLUSIONISM

RECLUSIONISM is the name of the high end street fashion brand "RECLUSIONISM+" which is a word made from the root word reclusion which means to be a recluse, someone who seperates or isolates themselves from society. "ISM" is added to the end of the word to be pronounced as a practice. As if it was a religion.

I can't wait to see what new pieces RECLUSIONISM is going to drop on their next collection.

recloseted homosexual

slang term for 'ex-gay'. Describes a gay man or lesbian who comes out as gay but through poor choices comes to regret and later denies his/her homosexuality to appease social conservatives. The only change here is behavior not attractions.

Darryl is a recloseted homosexual, he even says his attractions haven't change so he is denying himself.

Reclusive

Reclusive often refers to as being shut out of the world.
-someone who is reclusive is someone who never goes outside, someone so lonesome, and full of darkness
-someone who recently has had a loss; in need for loneliness and the peace of their own comfort
-Often reclusive people live in a old rustic house that hasn't been properly cared for in years
-Reclusive Scene: Lights are off and it looks like no one is home, curtains are down and the person living there doesn't ever say hi or greet the neighbors

All Ms. Franny does all day is sit in her house with the curtains down and the lights off, she is very reclusive.
