A slow incremental change in meaning or purpose of a definition.

The meaning of the word marriage has really undergone a serious definition mutation over the last 15 years. It no longer describes a traditional arrangement.

Some youth really dance with the English language and produce definition mutation. It's almost like a different dialect.
