Might as well plow on sunday

Used when some one has been slaking off to explain what else they could have been doing. Synonym for procrastinating. Comes from "The Crucible" by arthur miller where John Proctor is accused of plowing on sunday.

Example 1:
P1: "Dude i spent all night watching tv instead of doing my english home work."
P2:"Idiot you might as well have been plowing on sunday"
Example 2:
P1: "Wanna hang out tomorrow?"
P2: "I might as well plow on sunday."

Expression used in resentment as a reason for doing something deemed unethical when one knows one is going to be accused of doing that thing anyway, particularly when there is much to be gained by doing it.

They are going to accuse me of doing nothing and/or of working and drawing the dole at the same time, so I might as well be hung for a sheep as for a lamb.

What attention grabbing slurs or otherwise quite irrelevant to societal contributions and development, perhaps undereducated females say when their outfits,shoes,handbags etc look seemingly understated YET they feel its a "heavyweight" ensemble!!!
