Butt Dialed

The act of inadvertently calling someone on a cellular phone, when your phone is in your pocket, or purse, or some other seemingly inconspicuous place where it should not be making calls.

Your Crazy Ex: Hey, I saw that you called. What's up? Wanna hang out? Wanna get back together? I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!
You: Eh, sorry for the confusion, but I didn't mean to call. I must have butt dialed you.

Drunk Dialing

To make a phone call while inebriated. These calls are usually made to former flings, ex-boyfriends or girlfriends, guys or girls that you want to hook up with, etc..and this almost always ends up to be embarassing for the drunk dialer. Good friends will discourage drunk dialing while drunk friends will usually encourage drunk dialing!

Peter: Connie has been drunk dialing me all night and wants me to come hook up with her, but she keeps talking about our future.
Peter's Friend: Isn't she the chick you just met?
Peter: Ya, I mean I'm going to go do her, but after that she's cut.

Drunk Dial

A drunk dial is a communication via telephone (usually through talking but also applies to text messanging) that is somehow embarrassing or absurd. One drunk-dials to emote, excoriate, declare, confide, or proposition, often at a grossly inappropriate hour. The best drunk dials are those whose purpose is to either insult or get back together with an ex.

Noun: "I got his drunk-dial."
Verb: "John made an ass out of himself when he drunk dialed Lauren."

Don't touch that dial

An old term used at the end of a show before a commercial, the 'dial' part referring to old TV's that had dials to change channels. Some shows still use this, and only use it because other shows do. Other shows now use the term 'Don't touch that remote' or something like that.

Those engage in calling their entire cell phone phonebook once drunk. Conversations usually consist of gibberish and many slurred words.

Take away my cell phone once we start drinking. I'm such a drunk dialer I once called my grandma at 2 am.
