(verb) The verb used to describe killing off lgbt characters in media. The name destiel is after the supernatural couple dean winchester and castiel where castiel confessed his love to dean and immediately died.

example 1 : omg are the gay firefighters from 911 okay i heard they pulled a destiel.

example 2: imagine if the show pulled a destiel, that would be tragic!

Destieheller

Often spelled Destiheller, or shortened to Heller, a Destieheller is an obsessive fan of the pairing of Castiel and Dean Winchester from Supernatural, Destiel. The term is claimed to have originated from fans of the incestuous ship, Wincest, to belittle Destiel in the late 2010's. In more recent years, more specifically after the season 15 episode "Despair", in which the character Castiel confesses his love for Dean, many Destiel shippers reclaimed the the term and began using it to refer to themselves. Still, it can be used in a negative context, mostly by fans who prefer other ships or adamantly hate Destiel.

"I hate Hellers! They make everything about their ship!"
"I'm a Destieheller, we're not as bad as you think!"

pull a destiel

when a show, movie, or other piece of media hints at a character having romantic feelings for another character of the same sex only for one of the characters to come out/confess their feelings and immediately die. Inspired by the series finale of the show, Supernatural, where the character Castiel confessed his love to his friend, Dean, only to get sent to "super hell" right after. Also under the bury your gays trope.

Person A: OMG Byler is totally going to be confirmed canon in season 5 of Stranger Things!
Person B: Nah, they're totally gonna pull a Destiel and kill off Will.
Person A: Shut Up!
