They want to be alone but equally want to seem social, they are commonly mistaken with "wallflowers" and on occasion there are people who both flower a wall and crowd a corner. However wallflowers can group with other wallflowers but a corner crowd is completely alone in their time.
Partier One: "Yo! Where's Jeff? I heard he was here."
Party host: "yeah. He's a total corner crowder, I don't get why he even comes to these..."
