A common typo for bad. Can also be used as a jest to mean disapproval or just used as a replacement for bad to not sound too aggressive.
Imagine being not baf at math.

To make a sound to inform of your disapproval, skeptically, and usually comes with a roll of the eye.
A Baf sounds like "bphhhh".
A Baf sounds like "bphhhh".
