A word commonly overused by teenagers today that so desperately want to be "born in the 90s or 80s" who have absolutely no artistic talent but try to make up for that by posting "AESTHETIC" pictures on their tumblr blogs. these teenagers usually listen to music like Lil Peep or other soundcloud rappers. usually the word is used to describe colourful, grunge, VHS, or Trippy themed pictures found on tumblr or instagram and or Sometimes fashion styles.

Aesthetically Challenged

A euphemism for ugly. A politically correct term similar to "mentally challenged", "vertically challenged", and "horizontally challenged". (Which mean retarded, short, and fat, respectively.

"In Washington D.C. and Santa Cruz, California, it's actually illegal to discriminate against people who are aesthetically challenged. Damn liberals..."

"I'm not ugly! I'm just *aesthetically challenged*!"

Someone who is the visual embodiment of an idea/concept. Typically, they are pleasing to the eye.

My English professor is a walking aesthetic.

Black Aesthetic

The Black Aesthetic is the result of Afro-American desire for self-determination and nationhood that resurfaced in the form of artistic expression in the 1960s. It is unified in its embrace of all members of the African diaspora, although also characterized by varying rhetoric among poets of the Black Arts project. Nonetheless, the Black Aesthetic serves as a corrective means to help black people out of polluted mainstream Americanism.

To think of the Black Aesthetician's primary objective as identifying the external enemy against which the black masses are distinguished -- the white "establishment" -- would be incorrect.
