Chasing The Dragonfly is term coined by Nick Gardner and Alec Nichols for shooting up heroin. The dragonfly is a symbol for heroin. The chasing part comes from of how you chase the liquid down into your veins using a syringe.

Nick: *pulls out syringe full of heroin.*
Alec: What are you doing man?
Nick: Chasing the Dragonfly emaBrosa.
Alec: Dude, that's awesome.
Nick: Yep, we're all just trees man.
Alec: Dude where's the dragonfly running off to man?
Nick: I don't know, but I feel like listening to some Jonny Craig man..
