This is a word that I think I may have just made up. (I am more then likely wrong though) It is pronounced M-T-Vemo and is used to describe these crap bands that we see on MTV who claim to be "emo" but are pretty far from it. You can read something about what real emois at that link. I'm not being bias because im not really into either M-T-Vemo or real emo to much.

Person 1: "Yeah, MCR and Fall out Boy rocks!!!"
Person 2: "Dude you don't think that MTVemo band is actually cool do you? They wouldn't know what real emo was if it shit on their forhead."

(Proper noun / registered trademark) Music TeleVision for Universities. Insufferable pop trash and advertisement network that relentlessly targets the college student audience. MTVU especially tries to cultivate a loyal following from the Spring-Break Party Animals and Trendy Airheads, both of whom comprise the vast majority of the college demographic these days. The whole point of MTVU is to make money, of course. By negotiating contracts to have their inane audiovisual sewage piped into college cafeterias and similar public places on campus, MTVU hopes to brainwash its captive audience into a bunch of pop-culture-crazed, money-spending zombies.

Please see a mental health professional if you are regularly exposed to MTVU at school.

After a year of exposure to MTVU, Derek gave up studying, threw away his bluegrass records and replaced them with 50 Cent, went on a month-long drunken spring break in Cancun, became a bitch for Abercrombie, started dating promiscuous airheaded cheerleaders, bought a Hummer with his parents' money, and entered the wasted brotherhood of Sigma Upsilon Kappa. In short...they won his soul.

Bands with "day"s in their name are an easy indicator: Taking Back Sunday, Saves the Day, Thursday. If it was the 80s these bands would have been heavy metal bands. If it was the 70s, they would be disco groups. They would have been Pearl Jam in the 1990s. They all sound the same. Snottyish vocals, poppy rythms, lyrics that admit to being loser-ish. They bear no resemblance to authentic emo groups like Rites of Spring, Moss Icon and Heroin.

What MTVmo group will they manufacture next?

This is one of the sexiest mother fuckers alive. Some days he wears the best drip, but other days he just doesn’t give a shit and dressed like a bum. Don’t get me wrong, On that day he’d still take your girl!! Known for his dangerous lifestyle and best known for dashing on the police in a hellcat and making news 12 NJ. The girls love him and they flock from all over. He is said to pack a power punch into the wet river women flow.

Marketing Television Too!

MTV's brand for viewers with slightly higher IQs. Through filler and commercials, somehow manages to stretch appx. 5 hours worth of programming into a 24 hour period. With the ailing economy and with Viacom's financial losses, MTV Networks formats this way in order to save money.

I better hurry up and watch MTV2 now before they change the format to Newlyweds 24 hours a day.
