(BUSINESS) in a hostile takeover, the business entity that will be the new owner. Usually a takeover vehicle is a corporation in an industry related to that of the target company.

In cases where the takeover is not NECESSARILY hostile, the term "acquisition vehicle" is used.

In recent years, the PE fund has become a common form of takeover vehicle.

Take the gas pipe

Committing suicide by inhaling methane gas from heating pipes or ovens. A more common suicide method in the earlier 20th century. Also used as a way to tell somebody off.

Aunt Angie was so depressed when she found out about Uncle Charlie cheating on her that she took the gas pipe.

You're really getting on my nerves. Why don't you go take the gas pipe?

Takeoff

1/3 of the Migos. He was the quietest, and coolest dude you'd ever had the pleasure of meeting. The most unrecognized out of the members, but to be fr, he had the most overall flow. On November 1, 2022, right after Halloween, a altercation broke out against a unknown guy and Quavo, who was with takeoff at that time. Quickly, a fight broke out and punches were exchanged on both parties. Gunfire broke out, and people were hit and injured. Takeoff was shot in his neck twice and was declared dead on arrival.

Person 1. Damn Takeoff died?
Person 2. Yeah, may he rest in peace. ❤
