cool and tough

Cool and tough is an interestingly paradoxical statement. Too much cool, you're not tough enough. On the other hand, too much tough, and you're not cool (huge problem). Needless to say, cool and tough is an enormous problem that America, and various other countries, are facing. Is Keller Williams cool/tough? Possibly so. Is he crunchy? The answer is a resounding yes.

Jennifer Kay Barton is cool and tough (Keller Williams is simply crunchy, amirite?)

A response to someone who obnoxiously complains or cries over something they cannot control. Often said sarcastically, showing that you don't really care about what they have to say.

Alluding to tough onions, which cause you to cry when you try to cut them.

Person 1: ...and then he broke up with me! I cry every night and I don't know what to do with myself!

Person 2: Tough onions.
