ren fester

noun. Defined as an American who either works at the Renaissance Festival or attends the Renaissance festival. If a man, he is out of shape and has long hair and a beard and makes Simpsons and Monty Python references constantly. If a woman, she has a muffin top and wears clothing that doesn't fit and does not shave her pits. Ren Festers also have a penchant for speaking in phony British accents while drinking Mead and Cider Beer. They also enjoy traditional Celtic music and dress, such as Druid capes and kilts. Ren Festers also like fantasy novels and play a lot of Dungeons and Dragons.

Look at that guy in cape drinking Mead! He must be a total ren fester.

Shred Fest

An event in which two or more guitarists shred like crazy. Shred fests may also contain different instruments as long as the core of the fest contains guitarists shredding like the world is about to end. Shred Fests are primarily seen in the heavier rock or progressive metal genres, and are usually played during concerts.

"Holy shit man that concert was nuts! Half way through John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess had the sickest Shred Fest I ever heard!"

Nasty Fest

Noun: The most disgusting, vile, obscene display of total drunkenness, loss of morals and values, idioticy, and desecration of all things holy and politically correct. Nasty Fest is to other parties as the atom bomb was to thousands of Japanese civilians.

Some friends of mine held their annual Nasty Fest, and by God you should have seen some of the stuff that went on there. Things that would have made grandma's cry. It was so awesome.
