wikified

When a person quotes an incorrect fact from Wikipedia and are then called on the matter, they are said to be 'wikified'.

Usage of wikified in this situation was invented by Colin Murray on Radio 5Live on April 6 2009.

'John Smith was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia' according to Wikipedia

'No he doesn't, he was born in Dagenham, you've just been wikified'

Started off as a place to catalog actual bad webcomics to discuss their flaws, only to be taken over by transphobic nit-pickers who like to harass artists. Is compared to a giant circlejerk.

Person B: "That website supports Stonetoss, ignore it."

Abbreviation for the name "Wikipedia", a large internet encyclopedia where most people go to find information on a subject, in this case is used as a quick synonym to "look it up on the internet" or "search it in the dictionary".

"Hey, what does "Antidisestablishmentarianism" mean?"

wiki tours

"To book an evening at wiki tours" means to start out reading a single article on wikipedia which in turn links to several other articles which in turn lead to other articles... you get the idea. After closing the last browser tab, you'll noticed that several hours have gone by and you've managed to click through from "the berlin wall" to "the abandoned pennsylvania turnpike". The task you intended to do in the first place quiete probably hasn't even been touched yet.

"Hey Frank, have you finished your paper yesterday?"

"No, not really, I had to look something up and then I was gone with wiki tours for the rest of the evening."
