The team has existed for many years. To be on the team you must be committed, strong-willed, athletic, and fun. Teammates are always kind to other teams. This team wins, and will do anything to win.

Viewing Area

A pathetic way to inform viewers of how large the television market serves when typically a) the market size is small versus b) the effected radiated power serves much further away than its market boundaries.

"The thunderstorms are moving to the north at 10mph outside of the viewing area". The area they are mentioning could very well pick up that television station and are seeking important weather information from them.

Using a map that only shows the counties and locations the television station serves

Using a state abbreviation when a location is outside of their so called "viewing area" within the state the station is located at.

Cubic Area

In an open floor-plan office, or cube farm, the space that includes one's cubicle, along with the area immediately adjacent.

Quiet Area

A quiet area is a location where no birds, cats, dogs or any wildlife can be found our heard.

John: Did you try that new Asian all you can eat restaurant? They say its all chicken but it all tastes different due to the rich variety of sauces they use! In fact you might even believe its not even plain chicken. Only problem is it seems like a quiet area of town for some reason.

rest area vs. arrest area

Describes the "pleasant versus unpleasant" quandary that you face when making a road trip on a budget. The D.O.T. may indeed instruct you to "never drive while drowsy", but good luck explaining that to a cop with a quota who taps on your car window at 2 a.m. in the morning to find out why you're parked along a deserted stretch of highway to sleep till dawn.

One simple way to avoid the whole "rest area vs. arrest area" debacle is to simply schedule your sleep-stops around the available "official rest area" locations that are situation along your route... sure, it may take a bit longer to complete your journey if you hafta "call it a day" at 5 pm instead of at nightfall because there will be no other rest areas for another hundred or more miles, but at least you can slumber in peace, knowing that you aren't parking somewhere overnight where you might be given grief.
