He convinces young black fighters that because he's black also, he's looking out for their best interest. He accomplishes this by gifting them gaudy jewelry and giving them allowances to make them feel special. Meanwhile he delays their success with inactivity and non-competitive low risk matches.

After obtaining an MBA from Harvard Al Haymon went on to become the most prominent career destroyer in America.
