Common on Tumblr, Reddit, Social Apps, and Facebook Icons. It's more common in places where people post pics of themselves that don't include a face pic. Boobs(women)/Abs(men), NSFW shots, etc.

The way selfie would have been spelled, if the person who wrote about it on the forums back in 2002 would have known how to spell correctly.
