rap is something some people like to call music. i think it sucks. shure rap takes a little talent you do have to know how to talk fast and make rhyms but what about the music. its drum machines and computers have you ever seen a raper pick up a guitar, bass, or any thing or the sort an play music. NO! and all the songs are the same they are all about the same shit just in different words. me, i like metal, classic rock, rock almost anything but emo and punk. if you want to here some good music check out eric clapton, or van halen. but to me rap sucks always has and always will!!!!

good music: any thing with real insterments any thing thats not rap.

rap

A simplistic form of "music", involving the extremely basic drum beats (which are sampled, so really all you do is press a button). Features pathetic basslines and sampled keyboard pieces, with the occasional scratching disc. The focus of this style of "music" is actually the lyrics, apparently, because there is no actual talent involved in the rythmn section. The "music" sets out to make the "rapper" rap his words fast, which makes the words indistinguishable and they lose all meaning, most people have to actually read the lyrics to even grasp the meaning of the song at all.

:Rapper: My music is poetry!

:Musician: Then be a freaking poet and stop ruining the music industry with your lame excuse for "music". At least VARY your beats and add some SLIGHT complexity to your music. Do something original.

SUCKS!!! u need no talent to rap..just get a couple of ur friends, tape a conversation n put music behind it. they dont play instruments either. u want talent? listen 2 the drummer for slipknot. thats talent. bet no gay ass rapper could do that. they wuld probly get pissed off and shoot the drums. there is no rap song that has instruments played it in. its all computer generated. and i mean...wat the hell is with the shirtless thing...i mean...piss off we dont wanna c ur bullet wounds or see the tats u got...

I agree that rap USED to be kool with MC Hammer and all the old rappers like that but now its just a contest of how many bitches they can get 2 shake their ass by the end of the video clip.
