Wally Pipp Syndrome

Fear of taking a day off from work, then have your job be replaced by someone more healthier, if not better than you, when you are fit to return.

The term was coined by author Dick Schaap. It came from Wally Pipp, a former first baseman for New York Yankees and could not play due to a headache in 1925, but it started the fabled Iron Man streak by Lou Gehrig until he was forced to retire with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Pipp never regained the starting 1B spot ever again, and he was put on waivers, and was signed by Cincinnati Reds in 1926.

Tom Brady Wally Pipped Drew Bledsoe. It was a good thing that he didn't suffer from Wally Pipp Syndrome when he was injured, nor did his deputies did such a great job that he could be replaced.

being a prep. like the first ten pages about the word says, its all about old money, class, and th style. but some can be ALMOST preppy. wearing a mix of abercrombie, bebe, raulph lauren, and lacoste. this is more common, especially now. of parents dont want their kids to be away from home, (like bording school) and the kids still are preppy, they could go to the local highschool and group with other semi preps. some are cheerleaders, lacrosse, and soccer players. they are not all trashy thats for the normal people. also, there are ways for people tobecome a prep if they were not born that way. saving money to buy the right clothes, and having the right sense of style and attitude, then they are just as good as the preps born in to it. natural preps do accept those that work for it. so for anyone of you emos, goths, or nobodys, that say all preps are dont deserve how they waste everything, you dont know anything, go steal your parents credit cards so you can buy shirts that will get you kicked out of school.

preppy girl

Stupid bitches (usually hot) who think they own the world. Usually very rich and stuck up. They call other people sluts, when in reality they hook up with 5 ppl (3 boys 2 girls) at parties while drunk and end up smoking. Even though they are hot, who would honestly put up with stupid bitches like that? They also think they look fashionable, and they usually do, but clothes can't hide what's on the indside.

Damn, that preppy girl is fine! But what the fuck, is she drunk? An oh man, what is she doing to that dumb senior over there? Shit! She's only a freshman and she's goin down on him!

Another example is the stuck up bitch who wrote the second definition on this page. The one who said "People tear preps down so they feel better about their fashion statements" and "Oh we're so sterotyped." That dumbass is a prppy girl.
