Real Gangsta - someone who lives in the projects, is ususally in a gang, not very wealthy--often, but not always, black

Fake Gangsta - most males who attend North Warren (thank god i don't go there anymore). White kids from a rural town who listen to so much rap that they think they're black, act like they "slang dope" all the time, and would have no idea what to do if in a real projects. Yet, they still think they're hardcore gangstas.

John lives in the projects and is a Crip; thus, he's a gangsta. Eminem, though white, is also a gangsta, since he did grow up in a poor area and had what would be considered a gangsta life.

Kevin lives in an upper class white neighborhood in rural western New Jersey. He's never seen a housing project, except in videos on MTV, and probably has never even met a black person. This does not prevent him from acting like he's 50 Cent, however.

gangsta rap 

Gangsta rap is the outcome of white corporations taking over a type of music in order to make money by commercialize sex, violence, and misogyny as a thing that only "black" or Hispanics do while caucasian people do the same exact things.

This new genre derived from hip hop and rap in the late 80's and 90's. At first, rap was made for minorities to express their difficulties of a hypocritical society. They used rap as away to increase attention on the sufferings that minorities faced everyday but as rap became more and more famous corporations began to take over rap slowly and instead of rapping about "Adidas" and on how the streets of the city are driving minorities 'to the edge" rap soon began a way to show how African-Americans are "thugs" that are violent, sexist, and constant drug users when in reality they are just people like everyone else.

Gangsta rap is racist. Why do they even play that on the radio?

Forget gangsta rap, I only listen to old school rap and underground rap.

gangsta 

A life of Pain and Fear followed by a hardened soul. It is not forced on you but made as a young kid in a ghetto who sees all the things your brothers and older friends who you look up to and see that they are gangstas. And once you enter a gang there is no getting out. In addition to watching your best friends die for stupid and pointless reasons, you can never rise above what you have gotten into. A GANG. That is a true gangsta someone who is IN A GANG. Then Through all of this it is glorified to the point where those who recognize the stupidity of its glorification then ridicule the young impressionable kids who joined the gang as illiterate and stupid. For people whove never been in a real ghetto, whove never had to take care of their younger sister when their mom would be gone from the house for weeks, for people who had nothing growing up and were looked down upon by people( for example the people on this site who dont know what they are talking about) its a way to be someone, to live, and survive as a gangsta. But by succumbing to this we kill each other, and keep ourselves from every rising above the status quo. The world would be better if we didnt have to be gangsta's. And to All those kids out in the suburbs pretending, do whatever you want its your choice as long as you do not cause harm to anyone or yourself, you are living in a false reality driven by stories of a life more exciting then your daily routine in your safe boring neighborhood. But as long as you glorify it you are proving yourself to be dissillusioned and have never seen anything besides what is on tv, and music.

Ro-gangster 

A Ro-gangster (r-O-gang-stir) is a ROBLOXian that usually plays games like Da Hood, The Streets, and more. They usually either join gangs or start gangs, and are said to be one of the most annoying ROBLOXians on ROBLOX. They act tough and like to curse to try and show that they don't care what others think of them, and flaunt their toxic masculinity, when they are most likely 15-10 year old's that disrespect their mothers. Ro-gangsters also deny when they are obviously in the wrong, saying things like "goofy", "scared", or the most popular word they love to use "Psy." They also love mic ups.
