An alternative style based on "emotional hardcore" music, that all other groups hate. It doesn't matter though because they hate themselves too. We can all agree on hating emos!

Mark: I don't know. I hate myself for it though

Emo

Emo is a style of rock music, a lot of people misunderstand the definition of "Emo" like it means you have hair going over your face, wearing black/tight clothing, with some piercings maybe. Except emo is really a style of rock music which a lot of bands probably find a bit offensive because of what a lot of people these days think Emo means.

"Emo" boy: I want to kill myself!
Another boy: You're so emo!
A guy passing by: You guys are using Emo wrong! Emo is a style of rock music!

Slang for emotional kid is a rude term to describe somebody very emotional, naive, or immature.
