When your buddies son Timothy breaks your cars center console causing you to practically fall over or spill your coffee every time you touch it you elicit a Dammit Timothy.

Anything that is kind of irritating but not super irritating you can elicit a Dammit Timothy. Examples: spill your coffee, trip over a tree root, etc.

The Timo Effect

Having the urge to purchase games with the false belief of that they'll enjoy it once they play it. Just to realize their mistake and how much regret they'll hold for the few weeks, just to repeat that same mistake again.

Man 1: "I really like the game that you're playing, I might buy it so we can play."
Man 2: "But I've never really seen you play this type of genre??"
Man1: "Yeah, but this one looks different, I'm sure I'll love it."
*Man 1 plays the game once, and never plays it ever again*
Man 2: "You're going through the Timo Effect."
