Noun-
1. A bodily posture in which the legs are closely hugged against the body. (Resembles sitting up in a fetal position)
2. A sitting position often made by a petite, blue eyed, curly-haired female. (In colder weather, you may also see the individual covering her legs with a sweatshirt to ensure warmth)
3. A defense mechanism (not defensive measures)

to describe the kind of 'unwritten uniform' worn by certain professions (i.e teachers) to work. This is what happens when 'smart casual' goes to work.

Proposal that the biological emergence of language was caused by a reaching of a critical level of female-inherited genetic variation.

Generative formalism says that language emerged when one reached a threshold-level of genetic variation as inherited from one's FEMALE ancestors.

Ironically this was caused by male looting and conquest.

non-habit-forming

A much-overused term that promises that a certain product or procedure will never result in the participant's feeling the overwhelming need to become a nun. This assurance is actually a bunch of BS, of course, since everyone is different --- so there is actually no way whatsoever of knowing for sure what effect something will have on a particular individual.

Beware of miracle-cure ads with money-back guarantees and assurances that the product/service is "non-habit-forming"... read the fine print... in the section where it specifies what types of mailing-addresses they'll accept, see if it says, "We do not ship to P.O. boxes or convents", indicating that they will refuse to mail you a refund if you have moved in with the Sisters of Mercy. :P
