Store-bought cake donuts, sometimes chocolate but usually yellow cake coated in chocolate. Their highly-processed nature is evident by taste. These donuts are called plastic due to the hard coating (instead of a traditional frosting) and artificial ingredients.

Can you go to the corner bodega and pick up a box of those Entenmann's plastic donuts?
