1. An informal but widely acknowledged punitive action taken by disappointed fans of a TV show or motion picture series that has, after great anticipation, angered or otherwise failed expectations. This typically takes the form of a boycott of subsequent episodes or installments.

2. The economic or critical fallout resulting from same.

I'm glad "Clone Wars" died, it's time Lucas felt the geek reckoning after those three crappy prequels.

geek energy

When a geek decides to undertake an immense physical task. They usually decide in an instant, leaping decisively into action like the superheroes they love.

However, they are geeks, and thus they miss the smooth beauty of their heroes and twitch their way into the task, attracting stares all round.

1. A teacher in the class room throws a tennis ball. The geek spies a ball just out of reach, bouncing away. He throws himself to the floor, and a terrifying smile appears on his face. A classmate still remembers this moment 5 years ago. It's scary.

2. A geek remembers something vastly important (the best mod of Doom which he hasn't played since he was 10) and twitches his way into a different direction.

3. Doctor Who remembers something/gets excited/gets angry/changes his mind, etc. His geek energy is more restrained than real-world geeks.

Geekend

Weekends in which friends get together and participate in activities seen as 'nerdy' or 'geekish' when in fact are insanely fun. Normally held in secret to avoid social exclusion from other members of society, or to prevent overcrowding at such events. Participants will not speak of these events outside their own friend group, and can be the source of many inside jokes. Many examples of these are shown in media, although are not recognised often as 'geekends'. For example, in Jim Carrey's Yes Man Norm holds a Harry Potter party in which everyone must come dressed as their favourite character from the books, and participants hold a Potterthon.

Person 1: Holding a geekend tonight at my house, how about it?
Person 2: Do you need me to bring my Star Wars box set?
Person 1: Already provided my friend.
