The part of your brain in which the different consciousnesses inside your brain interact and reside.

The brain activity that is ascribed to our consciousness is but a fraction of the whole. Thoughts "come" to us, other processes are going on that feed us our information after it goes through tiers of filters. Other parts of the brain experience their own form of consciousness, but they have no ability to speak or take direct action. So they pull the only levers that they can to alert you when they feel it needed. The waldgrave is where those different consciousnesses communicate with each other.
