being a slave to homework

A state of being in which an individual devotes hours (sometimes days) to their educational well being. This is a non-habitforming ritual, it is rarely practiced. It won't kill you, just give you a headache, carpal tunnel, and may cause eye strain. Being 'a slave to homework' is often considered to be social suicide in refference to college life though it has been known to also result in a degree at the end of one's four years.

student 1: "dude, would you like to roll to the ghetto for this mad phrat party tonight?"

student 2: "I have homework from chem. lab, bro. I can't."

student1: "that sucks to be you."

student 2: "yeah, i'm being a slave to homework"

Being Broken

Being broken is a time in your life when nothing makes sense and you feel like you can trust nobody and you don’t want to be in this world anymore. But if you go, you give your pain to someone else. So if your broken, don’t let the dying pain get the beta of you. You need to laugh and find someone nice. You need to throw away that awful fake friend. Being broken is horrible. You cry a lot and nothing feels right. But god has a plan, so please, let him work it out! :)

Being Sent to The Shadow Realm

A term typically used while playing fighting/platformer games. This entails being hit off-stage and losing a stock. Unlike "Being Sent to Brazil", this occurrence involves the fighter being sent down at a 90° angle to the floor. The most common occurrence of this is in the Super Smash Bros. franchise, in which one fighter can strike the other using a certain move that spikes the opponent straight down (this is referred to as a "meteor smash" by the creators of the game).

"There's nothing more embarrassing than being sent to The Shadow Realm after talking smack to your opponent, trust me it's a nasty experience."
